Why would I choose dresses with nursing zippers when there are other dress styles, like dresses with a smocked bodice or button front, that are also nursing-friendly?
- Our dresses with nursing zippers are specifically designed with a discreet zipper opening, making it easy and convenient to breastfeed your baby. This means you can nurse your baby anywhere, anytime, without the need to find a private place to undress or worry about exposing too much skin.
- In contrast, smocked dresses may not provide adequate coverage for nursing moms, potentially exposing more of your chest than you're comfortable with. This is the dress I’ve been looking for! Made with natural materials (cotton), doesn’t look weird like normal nursing/flappy dresses, and is modest. Bonus - it’s also beautiful and comfortable. The nursing zippers are discreet and work perfectly. This is my favorite dress.
I’m wearing an XS here, probably could do with a Small as the bust is a little tight at first. But it stretches out and I know my size will fluctuate in this postpartum season. I’m 5’6 and 138lbs currently, normally 120. I think XS is a good fit overall!
I looove this dress! I’m freshly postpartum and ordered it for my son’s baptism. I’m about 5’4 and 150lbs and the small fits well! It’s a little bit tight in the bust area (my milk just came in) but the smocking in the back is accommodating!! I think the pattern and the shade of blue is so sophisticated and the dress feels comfortable and well made. The zippers are high quality! As a bonus, Mome’s customer service was very quick and efficient.
I bought this dress as a nice occasion only dress and now it’s an every day dress because it’s SO comfortable and cute. Nursing is so comfortable in it. It’s so flattering! This dress is extremely high quality. The fabric is stiff enough to feel expensive, but not so stiff that you can't move in it. It is extremely comfortable. It has pockets and the pockets are deep, sturdy, and don't inhibit the shape of the rest of the dress at all. And the nursing zippers move so easily. I'm still expecting, so I can't speak to the nursing, but this dress is great for maternity too. I am 5'3" and the maxi length falls just above the floor, so I will not need to get it shortened at all. I cannot recommend this dress enough, I will probably be getting more of it!
